These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of bempensato.com (the "Website") and the purchase of software licenses offered on it. The Website and the software are provided by Federico Bempensato, Italy ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@bempensato.com.
1. What we sell
We develop plugins for the EmDash content management system (the "Software"). Each plugin can be used for free under its license. Some plugins offer an optional paid license ("Pro License") that unlocks extra options described on the product page, for example hiding the "Powered by" badge. A Pro License is a digital product: no physical goods are shipped.
2. Our reseller: Lemon Squeezy
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, LLC (lemonsqueezy.com). Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Lemon Squeezy provides all customer service inquiries related to payment and handles returns. Their Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
3. Prices and taxes
Prices are shown on the Website in euro. Sales taxes such as VAT are calculated and added by Lemon Squeezy at checkout based on your location, and are shown before you pay.
4. Delivery
After a successful payment you receive your license key by email from Lemon Squeezy, normally within minutes. You can also find it at any time in your Lemon Squeezy order history at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders.
5. Plans, renewals and cancellation
- Annual licenses are subscriptions that renew automatically every year at the price shown at purchase, unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt or your Lemon Squeezy order history; the license stays valid until the end of the paid period.
- Lifetime licenses are a one-time payment with no expiry and include updates to all versions within the same major version (for example 1.x).
- Each license can be activated on the number of sites stated in its plan. You can deactivate it on one site and activate it on another at any time.
When a license ends, only the Pro options stop working (for example the badge is shown again). The free features keep working and your site is never blocked.
6. License to use the Software
Your use of the Software is governed by the Software License. In short: you may use and audit the code freely, but you may not redistribute it, share license keys or work around the license check.
7. Refunds
Every purchase is covered by our Refund Policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee.
8. Support and updates
We provide support by email at support@bempensato.com and through the public issue tracker of each plugin. Pro License holders get priority. We aim to reply within two business days.
9. Warranty and liability
The Software is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable and safe — our plugins are designed to fail open and never block your site — but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or fit for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Acceptable use of the Website
Do not attempt to disrupt the Website, access it in an automated way that degrades the service, or access areas you are not authorised to use.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in the courts of that country.
